Kitchen

Running the full depth of the original 1880's cottage, this bright room seats ten people. Original French doors open out to the front porch which faces Penobscot Bay.

The shelves are stocked with ample tableware; plates, bowls, glasses, mugs, silverware, gadgets and knives. There is a supply of pots (including a lobster pot), skillets, etc.

Electrics include food processor, blender, rice cooker, ice cream maker, popcorn popper, electric mixer, Belgian waffle griddle. Coffee makers include a Keurig, Mr. Coffee Drip and a 48 cup coffee urn. There is a dishwasher.

Living Room

This bright, high-ceilined room has three has three sets of French Doors, original to the house, which lead to the Penobscot Bay-facing porch and the furnished deck.. The waterviews are nearly panoramic. The random-width pine floors were likely milled on site when the house was built.

There is a Vermont castings woodstove and the TV is in this room.

The Common Hall

A nice feature of the bedroom area of the Cottage is the Common Hall, providing space between the bedrooms.

Bedroom 1 – “The Open Chamber”

This bedroom has a queenIs a large room which is the entire second half story of the Cottage. It is accessed from the main floor through a door and via a regular stairway. The room is furnished with a king-size bed and three twin beds. The room has two skylights and a/c for the few warm nights we get on the Coast of Maine.

There are views of the Penobscot River and two skylights.

Bedroom 2 – “Rosa Rugosa”

This bedroom is the closest to the shared spaces of the Cottage and the main floor bath. French Doors open to the porch on the west side of the cottage. There is a closet in this bedroom and t is furnished with one queen bed. A beautiful view of the Bay!

Bedroom 3 – “The Nautical Room”

This bedroom is furnished with a queen bed. There is a glimpse of the Penobscot River. a cozy room.

Bedroom 4 – “The Bicycle Room”

Is a smaller room furnished with two twin beds which are frequently and comfortably made up as a king bed; also with view of the Penobscot River.

Bedroom 5 – “The Blue/Family Room”

This large bedroom is furnished with a queen bed and two sets of bunkbeds. This is great for families with younger children. Sliders open to the deck. There is a pack and play available if needed. On the east side of theCottage with views of the river and out to the Bay.

There are sliders leading to the porch/deck, with views out to Penobscot Bay. Other windows provide views of the Penobscot River. There is a desk in the alcove of this room is adjacent to the sliders.

Bathrooms and Sauna

Main Floor Bathroom
Convenient to both gathering spaces and bedrooms, it has a large, seated shower.

Lower level bathrooms are comprised of two toilets, each behind it's own full-size door, an industrial style "shower room" with two rain heads, a double sink vanity and a sauna. The washer and dryer are also located here.
